URGENT ADVISORY - CBP IS BACK IN LONG BEACH CBP has already returned to Long Beach. Community members have observed multiple CBP vehicles and agents today, including masked agents, in and around the downtown Residence Inn.
CBP had temporarily withdrawn active units from multiple cities during a claimed “holiday break.” That break has ended early, and CBP units are now actively returning and operating. Observations in Long Beach on January 3 and January 4 confirm CBP vehicles and agents back in the city, with continued sightings today.
It is believed that CBP units are already arriving or have arrived in multiple cities nationwide and that activity may increase through Monday and early next week.
Important Legal Reminder:
Under California Penal Code § 185, it is unlawful for law enforcement officers to wear masks or disguises to conceal their identity while performing official duties, except in very limited circumstances. Masked enforcement activity should be documented and reported.
Stay aware. Stay vigilant.
